November

November is always an exciting month around here. My amazing and wonderful friend Alana took some family pictures for us. They were much needed, but most of all, I wanted to get this picture taken. We emailed it to our family at the beginning of the month.

Yep, that's right! We are expecting baby #3 due May 31st. I have been sick as always the past 2 1/2 months, but we find out in January what we are having! Here are a few more of the wonderful pictures that Alana took. She is awesome, I love her!

This was out goodbye dinner at Olive Garden. The Hreinson's move this week. And we are all heart broken. What an amazing woman Rachel is! She blows me away, and I am so lucky to call her my friend!

And because the Hreinson's were moving, I convinced Rachel to do a combined Mickey Mouse party for Gavin and Lydia. They are only 5 days apart, and the best of friends. Such a fun party to put on. Sadly, Rachel was really sick and didn't make it, we missed her! But I hope everyone else had fun!

4 years old!

My parents were able to come down for Thanksgiving. We did lots of Black Friday shopping. Grandma and Grandpa also came down for dinner. We also made it to see Catching Fire and Frozen. It was a great holiday and we even had great weather, which makes it even better!

September & October

In September Gavin started Preschool. We are just doing a Mommy Preschool with some families in our ward, but Gavin enjoys it, and it is nice that he gets interaction with other kids on a more regular basis. Things have just been busy with work, church and school so not too much to tell.

#18 all the way!

And Grandma came for a few days. The boys love it when she comes, and we even saw Planes while she was here.

In October of course we enjoyed Conference, and a bunch of the girls came over to my house during Priesthood Session and we made growth charts to hang up. The Hreinsons are moving in November so we have to get as much time with them as possible. No pictures though.
And then of course Halloween. The boys went as Mario and Luigi. Zac was anti costume this year, so I made t-shirts for us to wear. Mine had Princess Peach, which I forgot to get a picture of, and Zac was Bowser. These pictures are awful, but they are all that I have. Sorry.

This was part of a photo contest at Boo at the Zoo.

And this is a horrible picture, but the boys have their mustaches on, so I had to share.

Happy Halloween!

July & August

The last two months haven't been that exciting. But here are a few highlights.

4th of July we went down to Parker for their celebration. They had some free bounce houses and things, lots of food trucks and then they were supposed to have a laser light show instead of fireworks. It sounded awesome, and I think it could have been. But they had some technical difficulties and it was sprinkling lightly which I think messed up some of the special effects. So that part was kind of a bust. But, oh well. It was nice just to be together as a family.

The next day we went out to Pirates Cove. It is a small water park and Gavin loved it. I am sad that we are just discovering this place. The pirate theme is so perfect for little boys. And Wesley loved the lazy river. He would just sleep on me as we floated around the circle.

We also had a ward BBQ and the YW/YM were in charge of games for the kids. So I helped a little with getting those things running.

Zac and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary! I can't believe that it has been 5 years already. Time has flown by! We went out for a rare date, just the two of us and I love getting to spend alone time with him, that doesn't include falling asleep on the couch at night after we get the kids to bed. :) He is such a wonderful husband, and I am so lucky he picked me. We celebrated the week before because I left town to go to my brothers wedding. Spencer and Sam were married in the St. George temple on August 24th. It was nice to have a chance to go. I just flew out with Wesley, and Grandma and Grandpa Jones we just moved to Colorado. It is nice to have them living just an hour away.

Here are some other random pictures of the month. These boys are so silly, and growing so fast!

May & June 2013

Well, we are slowly getting settled into our house. It is nice to have so much space, and the kids are really enjoying having so much room for their toys. I also appreciate that they are not all over the house, all the time.

In May we were able to go to a Rockies game with most of our friends. Gavin's friend Mia was selling them through her school for really cheap, so we decided to go. The boys had a lot of fun and enjoyed getting to sit with their friends, and dance along to the music.

Here we are on Mother's Day. This is the new dress that I bought.

In June we went on vacation and spent a week in Ely, and we were able to see Spencer graduate and just spend time with family.
Playing with the stuff Uncle Spencer brought home from his graduation party.
 Cousin time.

The next week we went to Idaho Falls and were able to spend time with the Barrus'. We met new baby Tucker, and celebrated my 25th birthday while we were there. Of course, I celebrated by going shopping and found some much needed new clothes. I also got my hair done while we were there. The best part was just having Zac around for two whole weeks. Man, I love vacation, it is so nice to be with him more.
Grandpa put this together for the boys to play in, it was a little windy that day, but hopefully we can play with it more next summer.

Before we left, Zac was put in as the Secretary in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. And when we got back, I was put in as the 2nd Counselor in the Young Women. I am so excited for this new calling, and I am excited to get to know the girls.

We also had a surprise baby shower for my wonderful friend Rachel! She is having her 3rd girl in August and we are so excited for her. Hopefully she didn't feel too ambushed as we told her we were having a belated birthday lunch for me at Olive Garden. The only picture I have of Rachel from the shower is not super flattering, so here are the cupcakes that I made for dessert. Sin Cake Cupcakes Recipe

At the end of the month we had our annual friend trip and decided we would just stay a weekend at the Palmer's house this year. We had great food, games, and spent Saturday walking around Estes Park. It was nice to go somewhere that we haven't been before. I feel so lucky that we have such a wonderful group of friends. I don't know how we got lucky enough for them to invite us in to the 'group,' but I love them all dearly.

April 2013

Well, the boys and I started off this month with a trip to Las Vegas for our Reid Family Reunion. It was a lot of fun and Uncle Kyle and Aunt Tami did a great job organizing it. The first day we did an Amazing Race around the valley to some of the places where my mom and her family grew up and where Grandpa worked and other things. It was a lot of fun, although we got confused about some of it and ended up in last place. We also went to the Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix one day and had lunch and rode the rides and played arcade games. Gavin, really enjoyed that one. The rest of the family went out to the Hoover Dam tour, and my family went to the Town Square Las Vegas where the kids played for a little bit. We figured we had too many kids to try and wrangle through a tour. Uncle Brad had a bouncy castle set up in his backyard for the three days that we were there. And Gavin was over the moon about it. He spent pretty much all his time in there. The last day we celebrated Easter with egg and bucket decorating and an Easter Egg hunt. It was great to see all of my extended family, many of whom I haven't seen in quite a few years.

We stayed a few extra days, because our plane tickets were much cheaper if we flew home Tuesday instead of Sunday. So what did we do? My mom drove the boys and I to spend a day at Disneyland. It was great! But I have to say, one day just isn't enough to do it all. We did ride the new Cars ride and it was amazing! Gavin keeps asking everyday if we can go back. The sad part about the whole weekend was that Zac had to work, so he couldn't come with us. That would have made it the best.
The night we got to California, we went and ate in Downtown Disney and walked around for a bit.

These are the boys matching outfits for Disneyland.

 We met Mickey!

And of course the after, they were tired!

We have also closed on our house and are all moved in. It was a stressful few days, but I am grateful to all of our Barrus Family for coming down to help us. We couldn't have done it without you! From the water line overflowing and having to get it snaked to the refrigerator being a 1/4 of an inch too tall to fit under the cabinet, I would have been more than overwhelmed to have handled it all by myself. Not to mention the fact that I took Wesley in for his 1 year check up and he hasn't gained like any weight in the last 9 months, and we were at the office for 2 hours while they did a bunch of tests to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with him.

Of course, we celebrated Wesley's birthday! We had a little party at our apartment right before the move, and then another one while family was in town. I can't believe that he is already 1! I am not ready for my baby to not be a baby anymore. But man that kid just wants to be like his big brother. He is so funny and keeps us laughing all the time. And I love him more each and every day.

Happy Birthday Wesley!
